It takes just one negative comment from someone else to break the beautiful pieces that make up your spirit. They can't be fixed so easily like they were before. Peale goes on to say,"You might say: 'But I know people who are happy all their lives!' That may well be true, but there is always some touch of sadness in them that comes out now and then."

  • You are only as good as the people you surround yourself with, so make sure you spend your time with those who want to see you succeed. This way there's no telling how far you can go! It is always better to surround yourself with a good group of friends rather than someone who doesn't make you happy. There should be nothing that stands between you and living your best life so go out there and find the right people for your happiness!
  • You can do it, you just have to believe in yourself! To be your own number 1 fan is an important skill that will help you keep your chin up and not get too discouraged when times are tough. The biggest reason somebody fails is because they don't have enough faith in themselves.
  • You need to identify your negativity. You can't escape your negatives because they're always there, and you need to think about them. Identify where the root of these negative thoughts are coming from so that you can find a way to stop it.
  • Start each day on a positive note! I know waking up is hard enough as it is, but when we're feeling down about something or doubting ourselves, it makes everything even harder. The best way to help alleviate those negative emotions is by setting out the intention of what we want to do each day before we go to sleep so that when we wake up the next morning, our mind anticipates exactly what will happen and will be ready for action.
